Designer duo Broberg & Ridderståle takes us though the process

“Sometimes the development of a product takes a long time and the design process takes many turns along the way, and sometimes it goes fast. In the end, the results between a long and a fast process can be difficult to measure and compare. Patina is a good example of this. The sketch was done in about five minutes and we were convinced that we had something good going on. Well-balanced proportions, reliance on materials and the use of a classic typology that most people have a positive relationship with; that is the simple foundation that paved the way for the Patina oil lamps."
