Product description

Awa is a reversible flower vase and candle holder that appears to be hovering in the air. Its perforated circular plate is reminiscent of a water pond with bubbles or perhaps water lilies.

The flowers or the flames are reflected by the main body, giving an optical illusion of depth. It is made of brass and is also available with a nickel plated finish.

Kutarq studio

Kutarq studio designs lighting, furniture and spaces with a unique and pragmatic perspective. Each project involves a methodical process that emphasizes both material and research. With simple and clean forms, their work transforms common materials into expressive, emotional and timeless pieces.

The office is led by Jordi López Aguiló, who was born in Valencia in 1983. After studying architecture at ETSAV Polytechnic University of Valencia he spent time abroad collaborating with prestigious architecture and design firms in Paris and Copenhagen. Jordi later finished his master in Barcelona and decided to finally settle down in his hometown Valencia where he's been running his own studio since 2012.

With the constant challenge of revealing the “soul” behind his objects, he offers their users not just aesthetic pieces but rather designs with personalities and lives of their own.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Milan Design Week, Frankfurt Light & Building, Neocon Chicago, Tokyo Design Week, Stockholm Furniture Fair and Paris Maison&Objet.
